Net Transfer Capacity

Context
All relevant information available to the TSO's is taken into account at the time of the forecast calculation (e.g. the impact of summer and winter seasons on the capacity of lines, maintenance on the grid, availability of production units, etc.).

When
The Net Transfer Capacity (NTC) will be published yearly at the latest on the 15th day before the yearly auction.

Unit
The information is published per border and direction in MW.

Update
Updates will be done if any relevant information will become available (e.g. the impact of summer and winter seasons on the capacity of lines, maintenance on the grid, availability of production units, etc.).

Availability
The information will be available online for 3 years and is published with a maximum of 1 calendar year in advance.
The information can be consulted by selecting a date via the pull down menu or by entering a date (mm-dd-yyyy) .

Historical data
Data older than 2011 is currently not available.

Publication requirement
TenneT is publishing this information in accordance with section 5.7 of the Grid code, section 5.7 of Regulation (EC) 1228/2003 and in sections 4.1.3 through 4.1.5 of the ERGEG "Report on Transparency".
