Financial balance of the market

Context
The Financial balance of the market overview shows the total amount of costs per day which result from the system service balance maintenance for the Dutch electricity system.

• Upward adjustment, if stated, refers to the settlement price of bids used on the upward adjustment side: TenneT pays this price to the supplier;
• Downward adjustment, if stated, refers to the settlement price of bids used on the downward adjustment side: the supplier pays this price to TenneT TSO (in the event of a negative price, TenneT pays the supplier);
• Output is always stated and refers to the settlement price of the imbalance of the PRPs with deficits: the PRP pays this price to TenneT TSO (if negative, TenneT pays the PRP);
• Input is always stated and refers to the settlement price of the imbalance of the PRPs with surpluses: TenneT pays this price to the PRP (if negative, the PRP pays TenneT);

When
The financial balance of the market overview is published daily.

Unit
Volumes are published in MWh, in 3 decimals;
Prices are published in Euro/MWh, in 2 decimals;
Costs are published in Euro, in 2 decimals.

Update
Updates can occur in prices and or volumes.

Availability
The information will be online available for 3 years. The information can be consulted by selecting a date via the pool down menu or by entering a date (mm-dd-yyyy) .

Data before 2011 is currently not available.

Publication requirement
TenneT is publishing this information in accordance with section 5.7 of Regulation (EC) 1228/2003 and in sections 4.4.5 of the ERGEG "Report on Transparency".
