Balanshandhaving
As the Dutch Transmission and System Operator, TenneT is held to monitor and uphold the balance in the electricity supply between supply and demand in the Netherlands and also in relation to the neighbouring areas, according to the Electricity Act (1998).
The instruments used by TenneT to fulfil this administrative procedure are:
- Program Responsibility
- a single buyer market for regulating and reserve capacity
- Settlement procedures
The following party's are distinct:
- TenneT, as the Dutch Transmission and System Operator.
- Program responsible party's
- Supplier of regulating and reserve capacity
- Supplier of emergency power
